Job Summary

Property Litigation Attorney

A well-established and rapidly growing plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking a skilled and dedicated attorney with experience in first-party homeowner property claims to join its Texas team. This role is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for homeowners and has experience handling disputes against insurance companies involving hail wind fire water and other property-related losses.

You will manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution litigate complex coverage and damage issues and represent homeowners throughout Texas. This position offers meaningful courtroom exposure hands-on litigation experience and the opportunity to grow within a supportive and collaborative legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of first-party homeowner property insurance claims from intake through resolution
Conduct comprehensive legal research and case analysis
Draft pleadings motions discovery and other litigation documents
Take and defend depositions of insureds adjusters experts and corporate representatives
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration
Represent clients in court including hearings and trials when required
Maintain consistent communication with clients providing clear updates and legal strategy explanations
Collaborate with paralegals legal assistants and fellow attorneys
Stay current on developments in Texas insurance law and first-party property claims

Requirements & Skills:

Full-time position
2 years of litigation experience (first-party property damage experience is a plus)
Active member of the Texas Bar in good standing
Strong organizational and case management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
