Job Summary
The team in charge of each project stream is composed by one project manager supported by the projects procurement manager (PPM) the project controller and funding specialists. The PPM is based in Rotterdam (NL) and belongs to the European Procurement (EP) team which regroups approx. 200 team members throughout Europe out of which about 15 within the Projects Procurement activity. Other EP team members located in Brussels (approx.15 people such as buyers and other procurement specialists) can provide advice to the VIE.
All team members speak English though informal conversations can be held in French or in Dutch/Flemish.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
- Review existing purchase orders of funded projects and assess their compliance with the process Execution of Funded Projects; whenever required propose and carry out actions to ensure compliance
- Draft documents in English providing evidence to support supplier selection decisions in purchase orders
- Seek support from Funding Specialists and Project Controllers to clarify requirements and treat complex cases
- Review existing procedures and tools and if necessary create new ones to facilitate compliance in ongoing and future projects
- Support Projects Procurement Managers (PPM) in the management of the procurement stream of funded projects
- Under PPM supervision carry out bidding processes including the negotiation of price and other commercial terms
- Regularly report progress to colleagues and his/her own hierarchy
Are you a MATCH
- Engineering or Business school; specialization in Procurement or Compliance would be a plus. Academic background or previous experience in Procurement or Complianceis nice to have.
- Strong organization skills and methodical approach to address a wide range of situations
- Full command of English (spoken and written) including excellent writing skills
- Capacity to learn quickly and to work remotely with colleagues located in other sites
- Willingness to learn about procurement and industrial projects; curiosity and open mindedness
- Knowledge in French and or Dutch is a strong plus.
