The Trustees preserves for public use and enjoyment properties of exceptional scenic historic and ecological value in properties are open to all and we thrive by involving as many people as possible in all that we do. We aim to protect special places for future generations to enjoy in perpetuity and have helped protect more than 50000 acres including 27000 acres on more than 120 reservations that are open to the public. Creative projects active games friendship building and fun are also part of every camp day.

The Role:
As aCamp Educator(Counselors) youare responsible fordirect supervision of campers 5-10 years old and the planning and dailyfacilitationofallcamp activities.
Specificallyyoull:
- Receive fulltrainingto lead environmental education activities at Worlds Endbecoming familiar with both local ecology and developmentallyappropriate waysto interact with campers
- Be responsible forthe daily supervision and safety of a group of 10-15 campersaged5-10
- Collaboratively plandaily schedulesof age-appropriate nature-based activities games and crafts
- Lead nature exploration and inquiry investigations with your camper group
- Manage group dynamics among campersprioritizingsafety and respect for othersand nature
- Perform daily chores to prepare forandclose downcampeach day
- Work with Counselors-in-Training/CITs(ages 15-17) to help you and them create a positive camp experience for everyone.
- Report injuries andsocial-emotionalissues to the Camp Director
- Meet periodically with the Camp Director to evaluate experience and performance
This is aseasonal non-exemptpositionworking40 hours/weekreporting directly totheWorlds EndCamp Director.
RequirementsWhat Youll Need:
Skills and Experience:
- Working toward abachelors degree in education environment science or other relevantexperience orcourse of study is preferred
- Experience in outdoor education working as a camp counselor classroom teacher or informal educator with childrenaged5-10
- Knowledge of or interest in nature education and desire to share your passion for the natural world with children coastal environment background preferred
- Positive attitude and flexibility to changing circumstances and all types ofsummerweather conditions
- Embrace inclusion of all and an open-mindedness to learn through new experiences
- Must be outgoing and bring unbridled joy and enthusiasm to work
- Able and willing to work outdoors all summer in variable weather conditions
- Able to lift 40 pounds
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum age is 18 years oldby the time camp starts
- Full availability for camp staff training weeks (June 8-19) and all eight weeks of camp (June 22August 14) Mondays-Fridays 8:15 AM-3:30 PM
- Reliable transportationto and from work
- Adult/Child CPR and Basic First Aid certified(provided)
- Current authorization to work in the United Statesby thefirst day of employment.
- A satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check.
