Purpose
This role provides critical accounting support for the Treasury function. Responsibilities include the accurate accounting for unusual and/or complex transactions (financial instruments investments capital leases). The ability to research accounting literature and form opinions and recommendations is required. This role works closely with Treasury on both current and potential transactions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the correct accounting and reporting for the Companys debt investments financial instruments and capital leases.
- Manage month-end close for these areas including reviewing and approving journal entries and related schedules (to support consolidations cash flow reporting etc.)
- Prepare and/or review key footnote disclosures for External Reporting (10-Q/K)
- Perform technical accounting research and develop recommendations
- Act as subject matter expert for treasury-related accounting matters globally
- Manage a senior accountant
- Identify opportunities to improve / streamline current processes and procedures
- Interact with Tax and Treasury
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required
- CPA preferred
- 6 - 8 years of finance and accounting experience (minimum 4 years of accounting responsibilities)
- Ability to learn technical accounting concepts
- Ability to work independently and adjust priorities to achieve accurate and timely results
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate across functions
- Proficient in SAP HFM and Excel
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and aptitude for continuous improvement and change
Key Stakeholders
Corporate Controllers organization (Consolidations External Reporting)
Serves as key point of contact with internal and external stakeholders
