Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Frontend Developer
Location: HoustonTX
Type: Contract - Onsite
Experience: 7 years

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Delivery

Lead end-to-end frontend delivery ensuring scalable architecture performance and reliability
Define and enforce frontend architecture patterns (e.g. Micro Frontends) at scale
Own frontend engineering standards including code quality testing documentation and CI/CD
Drive adoption of modern React and TypeScript best practices
Ensure seamless integration with APIs and Microservices

Architecture & Engineering Excellence

Design and maintain frontend systems using Micro Frontends and monorepo tooling (Nx or similar)
Establish strong engineering hygiene:
- Pull request workflows
- Design and architecture reviews
- Automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate on deployment strategies using NGINX and modern cloud-native patterns

Mentorship & Collaboration

Mentor and coach frontend engineers fostering growth and technical excellence
Promote a strong testing culture (unit integration functional testing)
Work closely with Product Managers Designers and Backend Engineers in Agile delivery environments
Act as a trusted technical partner for stakeholders

Innovation & AI-Assisted Engineering

Promote responsible and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot agentic workflows)
Explore and integrate GenAI / LLM capabilities into frontend solutions where appropriate (nice to have)
Continuously improve engineering velocity without compromising quality

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

BS/BA degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of hands-on frontend engineering experience
3 years of deep experience with React and TypeScript

Core Technical Skills

Expert proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
Strong command of the React ecosystem (hooks state management performance optimization)
Experience with frontend architecture at scale (Micro Frontends)
Hands-on experience with monorepo tooling (Nx preferred)
Strong testing mindset:
- Unit testing (Jest Vitest etc.)
- Integration and functional testing (Cypress Playwright etc.)
Experience integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices

DevOps & Platform Exposure

CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI)
Cloud platforms: AWS Azure Pivotal or similar
Experience with NGINX and modern deployment strategies
