We are seeking an experienced Manager of DevOpsto lead our DevOps team and drive the implementation of best-in-class practices for CI/CD infrastructure automation and cloud operations. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability scalability and security of our software delivery pipelines and production environments.
As the Manager of DevOps you will collaborate closely with engineering security and product teams to streamline deployment processes optimize system performance and champion a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Define and execute the DevOps roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
- Infrastructure & Automation
- Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive infrastructure-as-code practices using tools like Terraform Ansible or similar.
- Cloud & Systems Management
- Manage cloud environments (AWS Azure or GCP) ensuring high availability and cost optimization.
- Implement monitoring logging and alerting solutions for proactive system health management.
- Security & Compliance
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Integrate security into the DevOps lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with development teams to improve release processes and reduce deployment friction.
- Work with product management to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of experience in DevOps SRE or platform engineering roles with at least 3 years in leadership.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions ArgoCD)
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes Helm)
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms: GCP AWS Azure (multi-cloud experience preferred)
- Proficient in automation (Python Bash Go) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform Crossplane)
- Experience building and scaling observability platforms (New Relic Prometheus Grafana)
- Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure and Internal Developer Platforms (Backstage Humanitec)
- Familiarity with security tools and DevSecOps practices (Vault SOPS Chainguard)

Pay Range
$126600 - $165000 CAD
