Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Interns to join our Bangalore engineering team for a six month internship. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates who want hands-on experience building production-grade software for scientific instrumentation data analytics and cloud-based applications.

You will work closely with senior engineers on real-world projects contributing to design development testing and deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and enhancing software components for Picarro products and internal tools.
• Work with engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical tasks.
• Participate in coding debugging and testing across various layers of the software stack.
• Collaborate in code reviews and follow best practices in software development.
• Support integration of firmware analytics and UI components.
• Troubleshoot issues and contribute to continuous improvements in performance and reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation where needed.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Electronics or a related field.
• Strong foundations in Data Structures Algorithms and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Java
• Familiarity with software development tools (Git IDEs debugging tools).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to web technologies (JavaScript/React/) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) or CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic understanding of embedded systems or scientific instrumentation.
• Prior internship or project experience with real-world applications.
