Howden Joinery is recruiting anElectrical Engineer to join our team based at Howdens Worksurfaces our solid surface production facility in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor East Yorkshire. This role will support proactive/preventative maintenance of our manufacturing equipment services and utilities and support improvement projects as well as provide support for reactive breakdown maintenance as required.

The ideal candidate could have either completed an engineering apprenticeship or have relevant engineering qualifications with proven manufacturing or industrial experience and a good understanding of manufacturing processes within an FMCG environment.

Pay rate:53023.24 per annum (Inclusive of basic rate shift & disturbance allowance)

Shift pattern:3-weekrolling shift pattern days and nights.Every Saturday off. For each three-week block 11 days in work 10 days off.

• Week 1- Mon & Tue 6am-6pm Wed Thur & Fri 6pm-6am
• 4 days off (Saturday to Tuesday)
• Week 2 Wed Thur & Fri 6am- 6pm
• 1 day off (Saturday)
• Week 3 Sun 10:30pm 6am Mon& Tue 6pm-6am
• 4 days off (Wednesday to Saturday)

What would you be doing as an Electrical Engineer:

• Proactive and preventative maintenance

Key skills and experience required for the Electrical Engineer:

• Experienced in maintaining multi-axis CNC manufacturing machinery including edge polishers and extraction plants.
• PUWER experience would be desirable
• 2391 Testing & Inspection Advantageous
• Lean Six Sigma Advantageous
• Knowledge and experience of Siemens s7 PLC PLC Pilz Safety PLC and PLC would be desirable
• Fault finding root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Experience of computerised maintenance management systems
• NVQ Level 3 essential
