Your part in our St Stephens team

As a MedicalReceptionist you will provide quality customer service to staff and the public through the processing ofaccurateinformation and the provision of effective and efficient administration and reception duties.

You will apply sound interpersonal communication and organisational skills in liaising with a wide range of health professionalspatientsand visitors with a commitment to integrity and confidentiality when dealing with personal information.

With no two days the sameyoull:

  • Schedule appointments and treatments for patients including follow ups for future appointments

  • Liaise with patients and medical practices to ensure valid referrals are on file for patient appointments.

  • Invoice accounts and process patient payments and Medicare Rebates

  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence efficiently

  • Familiar with Oncology treatments and terminology

  • Availability toworklateafternoon/early evening as- essential

  • Must be able to work independently - essential

  • Familiarity withXestroprogram would be an advantage

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate articulately both verbally and in written communication

  • Adaptability to changing priorities with the ability to provide an exceptional tailor-made service to your Visiting Medical Practitioners

  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to independentlyprioritiseyour workload

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in yourday to daywork

  • An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team providing support as

  • Ability to work effectively in a busy environment

  • Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirementsas well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
