We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and embed a strong safety culture on the Eastern Freeway Hoddle to Burke Alliance project. You will provide strategic and visible leadership drive compliance with all HS&W legislation and standards manage high-risk activities and oversee incident management audits and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role where youll influence safety behaviours mentor teams work closely with subcontractors and stakeholders and ensure everyone goes home safe. ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Lead and embed a strong safety culture across the project ensuring compliance with all HS&W legislation and standards.
  • Oversee and manage high-risk activities incident reporting investigations and corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits monitoring trend analysis and lessons learned.
  • Provide strategic advice and visible leadership to project teams subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement training inductions and wellbeing initiatives to ensure all personnel go home safe.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent; Safety Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Bachelors degree in Quality Safety Environmental Project Management or related discipline.
  • Workplace Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator Certification; Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.
  • Recognised lead auditor training or demonstrated experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current C-Class Drivers Licence.
