Job Summary

Diabetes and Metabolism Research Group

VHIR offers vacancy/vacant position for a Clinical Research Nurse within the Diabetes and Metabolism Research Group to participate in the project Estudio de la seguridad y eficacia de la administración tópica (colirio) de sitagliptina para tratar los estadios iniciales de la retinopatía diabética ( ICI20/00129).

Education and qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing

  • Fluency in Catalan Spanish English (business level)

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

Experience in diabetes management.

Experience in coordination of clinical trials on the field of diabetes

Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Observe patients after administration of study medication for adverse events.

  • Take and properly record vital signs performing venipuncture and specimen collection and processing.

  • Complete case report forms maintain up-to-date research logs schedule appointments and data management.

  • Educate patients about clinical research protocols study requirements and expectations.

  • Adhere to legal professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy.

  • Collaborate with other members of the research team to ensure consistent practice in patient care management.

  • Monitor on-site study sites to meet with assist and consult with study investigators.

  • Ensure compliance with subject consenting and reporting of adverse events and side effects.

Labour conditions:

  • Full-time position: 40h/week.

  • Starting date: immediate.

  • Gross annual salary: 32.700 (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)

  • Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities.
