Legal Assistant Business (Infrastructure)
Location: Vancouver BC (Hybrid)
Salary: $50599$82225 (commensurate with experience)
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy Business (Infrastructure) practice. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced legal assistant who thrives in a collaborative environment enjoys managing multiple priorities and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit format and revise agreements correspondence memoranda reports forms and other documents using Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Initiate documentation and correspondence on client files
- Manage and monitor Outlook calendars including scheduling local and multi-office meetings
- Maintain client/matter files including opening and closing files
- Update client file lists and maintain an efficient file management and bring-forward system
- Coordinate business travel arrangements
- Liaise with the Client Billing team for monthly account production
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Act as a liaison between lawyers and internal and external clients
- Perform general administrative and related duties and assist other team members as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Legal Assistant preferably within an infrastructure or business law practice
- Graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong technical and document formatting skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Teams SharePoint Excel); familiarity with legal software is an asset (e.g. iManage Chrome River SAP)
- Solid understanding of legal procedures relevant to the practice area
- Excellent spelling grammar and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Team-oriented with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
