The Senior IT Build Analyst is responsible for a broad range of activities including research installation maintenance configuration administration and provisioning of systems and applications.
The role may also involve deployment and release management.
A key responsibility is planning all non-functional testing (NFT) requirements and providing the test execution team with a clear overview to ensure that expectations are met.
Job Requirements
1. Core Responsibilities
Create non-functional test plans for Application Middleware and Database technologies on a project-by-project basis.
Collaborate with application SMEs and architects to understand non-functional requirements (NFRs).
Work with functional test planners to identify test cases aligned with NFRs.
Define and document steps required to prepare environments for failover and negative testing.
Identify and document data requirements for test execution.
Coordinate with project delivery leads to develop schedules for all non-functional testing.
Communicate PAT (Production Acceptance Testing) entry and exit criteria to platform owners and Lines of Business.
Standard work hours: 8:30 AM5:00 PM EST.
2. Must-Have Qualifications
5 years of experience as a Non-Functional Tester including hands-on creation and execution of:
Shakedown testing
Operability testing
Negative testing
Failover testing
Custom monitoring
Fallback/Fall-forward testing
Strong hands-on experience with non-functional testing in:
WebSphere
Oracle
SQL
DB2
MQ
Unix/AIX (including Unix command proficiency)
Network (Load balancing / F5)
Windows Server Cluster
Proficiency with:
MS Word
MS Excel
MS Project
Visio (infrastructure diagrams) 5 years
Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) 5 year
Cloud technologies 3 years
Proficiency in HP Quality Center (ALM)
Experience with large technology infrastructures 5 years
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies 5 years
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for partners.
