Job Description
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support acute care services on the night shift. The therapist must be capable of performing a wide range of respiratory care duties with minimal orientation and supervision in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Candidate Preferences
Pediatric experience preferred
Qualifications
Education:
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
Licensure:
Active New York State license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of postA.A.S. acute care clinical experience
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Key Responsibilities
Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapies
Initiate and monitor oxygen therapy
Assist physicians with initiation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as needed
Conduct pulmonary function tests
Perform radial arterial punctures
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care in an acute care setting with minimal supervision
