Position Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its acute care team. Under general supervision the RRT will deliver comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across the lifespan using advanced respiratory therapy techniques critical care skills and state-of-the-art equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and advanced respiratory therapy procedures
Set up operate and monitor ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation
Provide respiratory care to neonatal pediatric adult and geriatric patients
Accurately document respiratory therapy services in electronic health records
Operate independently when leadership support is unavailable
Ensure compliance with departmental policies clinical protocols and patient safety standards
Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary care teams
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
Completion of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program (Associates degree required)
Active Florida RRT license (must be in hand at submission)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Must hold Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Preferred Experience & Skills
Prior acute care hospital experience
Strong ventilator management and critical care expertise
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
