Job Summary

The Role

The Digital Marketing Manager role is integral to the Paralympics Australia marketing team and leads the development of innovative digital ideas and delivers effective multi-channel campaigns that connect our organisation to all Australians. Supporting all areas of the business from commercial to fundraising Para sport to education and the Australian Paralympic Team we have a passion for big ideas that will captivate engage educate and convert audiences.

Working closely with the General Manager Brand Marketing and Digital and the Brand & Marketing Manager and overseeing output from a Marketing Coordinator this role requires an understanding of consumer-centric multi-channel marketing strategies fan engagement and a proven ability to work alongside a diverse range of stakeholders.

This role may require interstate travel and work outside of standard work hours (including weekends) and can be based out of Brisbane Sydney or Melbourne.

The Person

The ideal person for this role is a team player highly organised and adaptable to the dynamic digital landscape. With demonstrated experience in creating engaging digital and social content plus managing paid campaigns you will also be able to demonstrate experience in managing large customer audiences and a passion for sport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the digital strategy including paid search paid social and paid content eDM campaigns website improvement and optimisation and campaign reporting.
  • Support the creation and delivery of digital campaigns including always on ensuring all content is produced to platform specifications to maximise reach and engagement while driving efficient digital media spend.
  • Support the production of marketing assets and develop strong briefs for all executions ensuring they adhere to PAs brand and values.
  • Deliver initiatives in line with PAs Marketing and Digital Strategy while identifying new ideas and opportunities.
  • Manage PAs various websites including oversight of UX/UI improvements new feature delivery and implementation of test and learn approaches.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of EDM campaigns via PAs email marketing platform Ortto including all user journeys and automations.
  • Analyse data and generate insights and recommendations to inform Digital Strategy and create automated reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing business or sports management (or equivalent work experience).
  • Demonstrated experience working in a marketing role at this level with a skill set that spans digital social content search and data.
  • Effective communication skills coupled with adept relationship management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building attributes.
  • Capacity to proactively take initiative and collaborate positively with diverse key stakeholders.
  • Demonstration of thriving in a positive team setting while also possessing the flexibility to work independently when necessary.
  • Current Working with Childrens Check (or ability to obtain).

Desirable

  • Experience working on sporting or major events.
  • An understanding of the not-for-profit sector.
