About Classification
Classification is the cornerstone of the Paralympic Movement and is a key process in supporting entry into the Paralympic pathway. It determines which athletes are eligible to compete in a Para-sport and how athletes are grouped together for competition. Classification aims to minimise the impact of the impairment on athletes performance so that sporting excellence determines which athlete or team is ultimately victorious. Ensuring that athletes are classified prior to competing is crucial to safeguarding the integrity and credibility of the competition.
About the Role
As one of two Classification Leads NSO Support you will work alongside our current Classification Lead NSO Support to oversee and manage a team of Classification Specialists. This role is central to strengthening the classification process within National Sporting Organisations (NSOs) by promoting best practices improving accessibility and upholding the integrity of classification systems in line with international standards.
