Network Engineer - Cambridgeshire
The L2 Network Engineer will cover management maintenance and support of network infrastructure perimeter security systems and network management platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting network and security infrastructure
- Troubleshooting complex network issues identifying network bottlenecks and implementing solutions to ensure optimal network performance
- Optimizing network infrastructure to ensure maximum performance and scalability.
- Maintain accurate network documentation including network diagrams configurations and inventory records
- Prepare regular reports on network performance availability and security
- Day-to-day patching maintenance and operation of the above in secure environments
- Continual improvement of the systems based on changing demands
- Liaising with various departments within the business
- Coordinating with 3rd party suppliers and partners to support maintain and implement these systems
Qualifications :
Skills & Experience:
Essential;
- Experience of enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN management
- Experience of Cisco HPE Aruba
- Experience of firewall technologies particularly Fortinet Cisco.
- Experience of network monitoring troubleshooting and management tools
Desirable;
- Cisco certification
- Fortinet certification
- Aruba certification
Additional Information :
- This role requires participation in 24/7 On-call which operates on a rotational basis.
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
- Due to our location access to own transport is essential.
- Must meet Security Clearance requirements if this is a requirement of the role and any offer would be conditional upon the successful candidate passing BPSS which includes a criminal record check
