Epworth Geelong is seeking an experienced and passionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide advanced clinical care and leadership in a fast-paced environment ensuring exceptional patient outcomes. This position is fixed-term part-time (26.6 hours per week) for a duration of 12 months until 3rd Jan 2027.
The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the medical and nursing team to provide holistic care to specific patient groups. This includes patient assessment diagnosis treatment and prescription of medications - all within scope of practice.
The role will contribute to ongoing service improvement through clinical and workforce innovation to provide high quality and accessible emergency care for the community.
The successful candidate will have:

- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
- Nursing Midwifery Board (NMBA) approved Nurse Practitioner qualification at Masters Level or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years recent experience in advanced nursing role and 5 years recent experience in Emergency Nursing
- Nurse Practitioner Medicare provider number and prescriber number (desirable)
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in clinical advancements particularly in the speciality of Emergency Nursing
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills that inspire trust and confidence and build strong relationships with patients their families and key internal & external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships to work collaboratively with peers and superiors and to contribute to organisation-wide improvement and growth
- Demonstrated willingness to teach undergraduate & postgraduate nurses other health professionals patients families and group
