Were seeking a dynamic and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our dedicated team in the Urgent Care Centre for a 6-month fixed-term role with opportunity to extend. This is a rare opportunity to step into a key leadership position where your clinical expertise and team leadership will directly impact the quality of urgent care in our community.

About the Role

As the ANUM youll play a pivotal role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of high-quality care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Youll lead by example mentor junior staff and ensure efficient patient flow while fostering a positive safe and collaborative workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager in clinical and operational leadership
  • Provide high-quality patient-centered care in line with best practices
  • Coordinate staffing and patient flow to ensure timely and effective service delivery
  • Promote continuous improvement and contribute to staff development and education
  • Act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff

About You

Youre an experienced compassionate and motivated nurse leader with a passion for urgent care and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You thrive in fast-moving environments inspire confidence in your team and are always focused on delivering exceptional care.

You will have:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing or equivalent or working towards
  • Advanced Life Support/Paediatric Advanced Life Support competent.
  • Clinical experience in the relevant specialty including Triage experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A desire to make a difference in a regional healthcare setting
  • Commitment to professional growth and development in leadership.
