Job Summary
Job Title:Medical Assistant
Location: Murphy NC
Type:Contract 15 Weeks
Pay Rate:$24/hour
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Medical Assistantfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Murphy NC.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients in a friendly professional manner
- Schedule appointments manage phone inquiries and support front desk operations
- Accurately take and document patient vitals
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens
- Administer vaccines and perform EKGs
- Conduct point-of-care (POC) testing
- Assist with back-office clinical procedures as needed
- Support daily clinic flow and maintain a clean organized workspace
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
- EMR system experience required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient education and community outreach
- Current BLS or CPR certification required
