Job Summary

Alliance is the largest exclusive air emissions stack testing services company in the United States. Alliance Emissions Monitoring (AEM) is our Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) division. Alliance Technical Group is filling a Leak Detection Technician position. As a Leak Detection Technician you will work in a rapidly growing industry protecting the environment and have the opportunity to learn and advance within our rapidly growing company. This job will be a combined local day and some overnight travel reporting to our clients in areas in AL and GA but potentially TN and MS as well.. Summary/Objective

The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for routine LDAR and SPCC inspections client interaction routine reports updating plans and drawings communications with manager COMs calibration COMs technical assistance and special projects as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct routine OVA and Method 21 LDAR inspections at a variety of industrial facilities.
  • Conducting routine SPCC inspections at a variety of industrial facilities.
  • Writing reports using Microsoft word and excel generating power point presentation utilizing Vizio to update facility schematics.
  • Assisting in the peer review process with other team members.
  • Conducting inventories for SPCC.
  • Assists with communications between Alliance team members and clients.
  • Conduct COMs monitor calibrations.
  • Responds to COMs client needs for afterhours over the phone assistance and possible emergency call out nights and weekends.
  • Attends safety training and incorporates safety into all job performance areas.
  • Maintain knowledge and fluency with current and changing regulatory laws for the projects managed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities

No supervisory responsibilities; may provide guidance to other team members/individuals.

Required Qualifications

  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENT High School Diploma or GED; bachelors degree or college background in environmental science recommended/preferred.
  • 5 years of testing experience including auditing experience.
  • Previous LDAR and LDAR database experience is preferred. Use of MS Office (Word Excel Outlook Vizio) Adobe Products and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. Industry knowledge with strong mechanical aptitude. Use of basic office equipment: scanner copier and PC.
  • Valid drivers license. The ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card may be required.

  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and office environment.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the team member may travel extensively to industrial work sites and be required to deliver results on strict deadlines. Overnight travel may be required based on the location the position is filled. Work may be performed in hazardous or extreme working conditions and work from heights.

Physical Demands

  • Position requires constant work whether directly working on a project or behind the scenes preparing for one. Entails physical demands of testing along with the mental stress of balancing personal issues with the amount of travel required.
  • Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. While performing the duties of this job good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals calculators smart devices and copiers is needed.
  • When traveling and on job sites employees may occasionally be exposed to extreme environmental conditions or industrial hazards including extreme temperatures humidity noise vibration atmospheric conditions etc. Position involves physical activity up to and including moderately heavy work. Position constantly involves walking standing and lifting up to 30 pounds. Position frequently involves carrying crouching kneeling pushing pulling climbing handling grasping feeling and other repetitive motions. The position involves frequent exposure to heights and requires climbing stairs and ladder. Position requires ability to hear talk and communicate regularly.

Travel

Varies based on project scope but may require travel up to 50% of the time. Depending on the assignment and the remoteness of the site may require a greater level of travel and travel on weekends.
