Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree required. Must be a graduate student currently enrolled in an Ohio University academic program. Must have strong research writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in public health health education social work counseling or related field - Experience working in health promotion public health or related field - Must maintain a 3.0 GPA - Knowledge and experience supervising or advising students - Strong communication and team management skills - Sound judgment leadership and experience in conflict management - Proficient in Microsoft Office -Strong experience with program planning and/or event management - General understanding of principles of prevention - Comfortable with public speaking/training - Ability to conduct assessment or program evaluation

Work Schedule
- Graduate Assistants are expected to work a total of 300 hours over the course of the semester. This averages out to approximately 20 hours per week. - Evening and weekend work may be required - Must be available to participate in staff orientation and training prior to start of fall semester - Must be available to assist in Opening Weekend (August)
