As a Nextgrade Online Tutor youll work directly with students in 1:1 and small-group sessions using easy-to-use online tools. Youll help students stay on track understand schoolwork prepare for assessments and develop strong study habits.

What Youll Do

As a Nextgrade Online Tutor you will:

• Provide virtual tutoring to students in grades K12 (1:1 or small group)

• Support students in subjects such as:

  • Math (ElementaryHigh School)

  • English/Reading/Writing

  • Science (as needed)

  • Homework help & study skills

• Explain concepts clearly using examples students can understand

• Help students complete assignments while teaching them how to learn independently

• Create a supportive learning environment that keeps students motivated

• Track student progress and share session notes when required

• Communicate professionally with students and parents/guardians (when applicable)

• Maintain consistency with schedules and show up prepared for every session

• Follow Nextgrade tutoring standards and student safety guidelines

Who Were Looking For

Were looking for tutors who are:

• Passionate about helping students learn and improve

• Patient encouraging and able to explain concepts clearly

• Reliable and professional with strong time management

• Comfortable teaching online using Zoom/Google Meet or similar tools

• Strong in English communication (additional languages are a plus)

• Experienced tutoring or teaching (formal or informal) preferred but not required

• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelors degree (Education or related field is a plus)

• Confident supporting students at different levels and learning styles

Requirements

• Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace

• Laptop/desktop with camera microphone (headset preferred)

• Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule

• Background check may be required depending on student assignment
