A specialist recruitment consultancy is seeking a Structured Credit Specialist on behalf of a leading financial services client. This opportunity offers an engaging fast-paced environment where high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients form the core of the portfolio and where analytical depth and relationship excellence are equally essential.
Key Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting and managing a portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients
- Attending client meetings with lending specialists and advisory teams
- Developing deep knowledge of clients and their broader group structures across lending investment insurance and transactional pillars
- Understanding wealth creation strategies immediate lending needs and long-term value-unlocking opportunities
- Analysing operating and investment entities within client groups including financial ratios cash flows trends projections sustainability and industry dynamics
- Identifying lending opportunities and assessing appropriate product solutions
- Structuring deals and compiling high-quality credit papers
- Presenting credit requests to mandated individuals or committees
- Communicating credit outcomes covenants deal structures and processes clearly to clients and sales teams
- Tracking and monitoring ongoing risk at client and deal level including covenant reviews
- Analysing and flagging economic and industry trends affecting the portfolio
- Engaging stakeholders across the organisation to ensure informed decision-making and optimal client solutions
- Proactively managing risk triggers and events
- Delivering an exceptional client experience aligned to organisational values
- Contributing to innovation efficiency and continuous improvement within the portfolio
Requirements
The ideal candidate will offer a blend of technical ability commercial insight and exceptional communication skills. They will bring:
- A BCom in Finance or Accounting (CA advantageous)
- At least 13 years of credit experience with strong business acumen
- Deep understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment
- The ability to model cash flows build forecasting assumptions construct covenants and analyse key ratios
- A solution-driven dealmaking mindset
- Strong written verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent relationship-building and collaboration abilities with both internal and external stakeholders
- High levels of integrity attention to detail self-motivation and the ability to work independently or within a team
