The Role: Fractional Controller

The skys the limit but every engagement begins with sound financial leadership.

As a Fractional Controller at Augeo you will be a trusted high-impact financial partner for a diverse portfolio of clients. Youll be responsible for the strategic oversight of accounting operations ensuring accurate reporting and delivering the actionable insights that guide critical business decisions.

As the Engagement Manager you serve as Augeos primary point of contact with the client. You will manage the overall relationship translate complex financial data into a clear strategic direction and collaborate with internal Augeo teams to solve client challenges.

This role is ideal for a professional experienced with Salesforce cloud-based workflows and multi-client environments. Previous experience with Accounting Seed is a significant advantage! Exceptional candidates may also have the opportunity to participate in or lead software implementation projects.




Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership & Reporting: Oversee the entire accounting function for multiple clients including monthly close reconciliations and financial reportingall managed within the Salesforce platform.

  • Strategic Insights: Deliver custom management reports executive dashboards and tailored KPIs directly tied to client business goals.

  • Advisory: Advise clients on critical areas like cash flow management budgeting and forecasting leveraging Salesforce-integrated financial systems to drive better outcomes.

  • Team & Process Management: Mentor and manage remote and offshore accounting teams.

  • System Optimization: Recommend and implement process improvements strong internal controls and system automation especially by leveraging the full capabilities of Accounting Seed.

  • Client Management: Serve as the primary client relationship manager ensuring high satisfaction and continuous value delivery.



Requirements


  • Experience: 8 years of progressive accounting experience including 3 years as a Controller or Senior Accounting Leader.

  • Certification: CPA or MBA preferred

  • Technical Acumen: Experience with Salesforce and Accounting Seed a plus! Also integrated cloud-based ERP systems (e.g. FinancialForce NetSuite MS Dynamics).

  • Environment: Familiarity with outsourced accounting or multi-client consulting environments is a plus.

  • Core Skills: Exceptional communication advanced analytical and strong organizational skills.

  • Mindset: Strong client-service orientation and the ability to seamlessly balance strategic insight with hands-on execution.

  • Industry Focus: Experience in Transportation Agency Insurance or Professional Services a plus.

Compensation

This is a project-based 1099 contract role with a variable compensation structure. Rates for each engagement will be determined based on the clients scope of work project complexity and required skill set. A detailed rate will be negotiated and agreed upon with the contractor before the start of each new client engagement.
