ABOVE AND BOYOND- SOL TUTOR
GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Tutors will provide small group and individual instruction in the areas of reading and/or mathematics. Individualized plans to remediate students in reading and/or mathematics through modeling demonstrating explaining reviewing and assessing students work. The ideal candidate will have prior teaching or tutoring experience.
Description:
Performs professional work providing teaching to students in general instruction or in a specialized subject or assigned group of subjects. Work is performed under regular supervision.
- Provides small-group instruction;
- Provides intervention to students and reinforces skills in math and reading content areas;
- Prepares intervention sessions to foster academic development;
- Assesses student progress as directed by the teacher;
- Communicates regularly with teachers;
- Attends training as scheduled;
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree preferred or the equivalent with at least 30 semester hours from an accredited institution of higher learning verified by transcript.
Compensation:
Teaching License (active or expired): $30/Hour (no more than 24 hours per week)
No Teaching Experience or License: $20/Hour (no more than 24 hours per week)
