Job Summary




Background:

The Kirk Gibson Foundation whose mission is to improve the quality of life of those living with Parkinsons through the development and delivery of activity-based programs has recently opened the Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinsons Wellness in Farmington Hills Michigan. Funded and supported by the Foundation the Center is the first of its kind in the state to offer daily programs and activities free of charge to people living with Parkinsons disease their families and care partners. The Center also serves as a beacon of hope help and inspiration to those battling the disease and will build a community of support and compassion while researching and developing better movement-based programs. Over 60000 class hours will be offered each year.

Position Summary:

The Database and Donor Experience Manager plays a critical role in advancing the organizations fundraising and stewardship efforts by managing donor data systems and ensuring a high-quality donor-centered experience across all touchpoints. This position oversees the integrity and strategic use of the donor database supports fundraising operations and reporting and partners with development and communications staff to deliver timely accurate and meaningful donor engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Management & Reporting
  • Manage and maintain the organizations donor database/CRM ensuring accuracy completeness and consistency of data.
  • Establish and enforce data entry standards policies and procedures.
  • Oversee gift processing acknowledgments and reconciliation in coordination with finance staff.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support fundraising strategy donor retention and leadership decision-making.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends opportunities and risks related to donor engagement and revenue.
  • Manage database integrations with online giving platforms email marketing tools and other systems.

Donor Experience & Stewardship
  • Design and implement donor stewardship and engagement processes that reflect best practices and the organizations values.
  • Ensure timely accurate and personalized donor acknowledgments and communications.
  • Support donor journeys across channels (mail email events digital) to enhance donor satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with development and communications teams to segment donors and tailor outreach strategies.
  • Monitor and improve donor experience metrics such as retention response rates and engagement levels.

Development Operations Support
  • Support annual major gifts grants events and campaigns through data management and reporting.
  • Prepare donor lists mailing files and segmentation strategies.
  • Assist with moves management tracking and portfolio support for major gift efforts.
  • Document processes and provide training to staff on database use and donor data best practices.

Compliance & Best Practices
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws ethical fundraising standards and organizational policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of donor information.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in nonprofit data management donor experience and fundraising technology.



Requirements

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit database management development operations or fundraising support.
  • Proficiency with donor CRMs (e.g. Bloomerang or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
  • Excellent organizational communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with donor stewardship and engagement strategy.
  • Knowledge of fundraising metrics donor lifecycle management and moves management.
  • Advanced skills in reporting data visualization or Excel.
  • Familiarity with email marketing and online fundraising platforms.
  • Experience building automations and other performative-enhancing processes.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $55000 (commensurate with experience)

Required Skills:

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nonprofit management communications marketing or related field. Minimum 35 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising with a focus on annual giving donor retention or data analytics. Strong understanding of donor behavior fundraising metrics and annual fund best practices. Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions Advanced proficiency with donor databases Excel and reporting tools (name current database) Experience developing and analyzing fundraising dashboards and reports. Exceptional writing communication and project management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns. Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising analytics tools. Experience with digital fundraising platforms and email marketing tools
