As a Lead UX Designer for Roundel inourGuestUX (GUX) teamyouareat the forefront of Targets evolving digitaland ad techexperienceshaping theAI-poweredcampaign workflows our partnersand team membersuse to create manage andmeasure.From deepening relationships through personalizedshoppingexperiencesto evolving advertising and monetization Guest UX plays a critical role in delivering value and driving business growthfor our partners and with our guests.

As a Lead UX Designeryoullhelp define experience strategy drive complex initiatives forward and ensure every solution delivers both for the guest and the business.Youllcollaborate deeply across product engineering and marketing partners while mentoring other designers and advocating for best-in-class user-centered design.

Responsibilities:

  • Create UX patterns that clarifywhycampaigns performhowads are delivered andwhichsignals drive optimizations

  • Translate high-level product vision into detailed workflow models for advertisers operators and measurement users

  • Define UX north stars andexperience blueprints for critical user journeys and surfaces includingcampaign setup optimization and insights

  • Lead end-to-end UX for ad-tech features: campaign planning forecasting targeting bidding creative approvals reporting

  • Translate decisioning logic (such ML ranking relevance models budget optimization algorithms) into explainable UI surfaces

  • Represent complex mechanics (auction behavior pacing spend forecasts) through insights notifications and visualizations a marketer can understand

  • Leverage your influencetochampion user-centric outcomes within and across product experiences

  • Partner with engineering to map dependencies (e.g. logging ML-driven optimization surfaces inventory systems).

  • ProactivelyidentifyUX risks in campaign management or measurement areas and propose alternative design paths.

  • Mentor and guide junior designers fostering growth in craft and critical thinking.

  • Investigate using both qualitative and quantitative research methods

  • Set a high standard for design craftensuring accessibility usability clear information architecture thoughtful interaction design and polished visual execution

  • Promote and advance a culture of human-centered design across UX product and engineering

  • Build a network of relationships to enable your vision in service ofenterpriseexperiences and toolsand Target as a whole

About you:

  • 7years experienceas a product designer with a strong portfolioshowcasingsuccessful product designand ad techexpertise

  • You thrive at the intersection of design strategy scaled solutions and craft

  • Expertskills in UX and product design as well as structuring and planning work and owning the design process

  • Advancedproficiencyin modern design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma).

  • Advancedstrategic problem-solving systems thinking and collaboration skills

  • Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach

  • Skilled at balancing near-term delivery with long-term vision

  • You are an expert in communicating how design connects to serves and improves businessoutcomes

  • Comfortable exploring and using emerging AI-powered tools to support the design process with curiosity arounditsevolving role in UX practice

  • Exhibit a growth mindset and a passion for evolving your practice and the broader UX discipline
