Job Summary

Job Description:

Were looking for a mid-level UXD to join our Austin TX team. Reporting to C2s UX Strategy Team Manager this role focuses on creating digital and email design patterns and components as well as interactive digital experiences. If you are a high-performing individual contributor with a passion for creating design patterns based on UX best practices and research and enjoy working in a fast-paced collaborative environment you may be interested in our mid-level Digital Design System (DDS) User Experience Designer (UXD) role. Charles Schwabs DDS for public-facing experiences enables web page builders to create intuitive and coherent website experiences for our end users while saving time and effort by leveraging established patterns. Many DDS team members sit with other teams across Schwab including the Creative Center (C2) UX Strategy team in Schwab Marketing.

Required qualifications:

Five years relevant experience as a UXD or related role

Familiarity working on a DDS and understanding of atomic-based design

Proficiency in Figma including the ability to create components and document your work in Figma

In-depth knowledge of design principles including layout type color and composition

Experience with Jira and working with a product delivery team in agile processes to accomplish work within sprint deadlines

Understanding of current WCAG accessibility standards

Be a self-starter who can lead discovery work on new design patterns and experiences in multiple channels including web email and mobile app.
