The opportunity:
As Accounting Manager for our EMEA region you will be reporting to the Global Head of Accounting and centered at our Copenhagen office. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a small Accounting team centralized in Copenhagen who handles the day-to-day accounting and finance operations for our sites in EMEA including Denmark Germany Czech Republic and the UK ensuring seamless collaboration with our internal and external stakeholders including local tax authorities auditors suppliers etc.
The primary tasks:
- Comprehensive Accounting Oversight:Manage end-to-end accounting for all EMEA and HQ entities.
- Financial Closing:Manage monthly quarterly and year-end closings for EMEA and HQ entities.
- OPEX Controlling:Manage OPEX postings and controlling for EMEA and HQ entities.
- Statutory Compliance:Manage statutory reporting including ensuring local GAAP compliance across all countries in the EMEA region including HQ entities in Denmark. This includes coordinating the support from external advisors and managing communication with local authorities.
- Tax Compliance:Ensure tax compliance and tax submissions in accordance with local regulations (VAT GST CIT). This includes coordinating the support from external advisors and managing communication with local tax authorities.
- Payroll Accounting:Handle payroll payments and the related accounting for all regional entities.
- Ensure internal controls compliance:Responsible for ensuring that internal controls are implemented and executed effectively for all EMEA and HQ entities.
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in relevant position including experience from managing a team.
- MSc of BS in Accounting Finance or Business Administration. Accounting or Audit qualification could be an advantage.
- Knowledgeable of general accounting principles (e.g. Danish GAAP) international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and other financial reporting regulations
- Knowledgeable of tax regulations and tax compliance requirements especially related to corporate income tax transfer pricing VAT/GST and importation taxation
- Professional proficiency in Danish and English
Skills and Attributes:
- Proven track record of leading and motivating a multicultural team of accountants.
- Highly organized with a meticulous approach to work ensuring all tasks are completed accurately efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a talent for interpreting data and generating actionable insights to drive strategic and tactical decisions.
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision while building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and persuasively to various audiences including senior leadership.
