Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a night-shift contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health crisis management and patient-centered care within an inpatient or similar psychiatric setting.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions
Administer medications evaluate effectiveness and observe for adverse reactions
Manage crisis situations using approved de-escalation and intervention techniques
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists therapists and nursing staff
Develop implement and adjust individualized treatment plans
Maintain a safe therapeutic environment during overnight hours
Provide education reassurance and emotional support to patients and families
Accurately document all patient care activities in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana
12 years of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience (inpatient preferred)
Training in crisis intervention and behavioral health best practices
Excellent communication critical thinking and decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities during night shifts
