We are looking for a Licensed Cosmetologist to join our Willow Lawn team as a full-time stylist and Assistant Manager. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children and families enjoys a positive team environment and is ready for a leadership position with hands-on responsibilities.

This is a dual role. You will be cutting hair full-time while assistant manager duties will be handled throughout the day. Our salon focuses on creating a safe welcoming and inclusive space for all children including those with autism sensory sensitivities and anxiety. Patience kindness and professionalism are essential.

What Youll Do:

Provide high-quality haircuts and services for children and families
Create a warm friendly salon experience for every guest
Support parents and children with additional needs
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Assist the regional manager with daily operations as needed
Support the regional manager with inventory ordering supplies and retail restock (not solely responsible)
Help with onboarding training support and team coordination
Step in at the front desk when needed

What Were Looking For:

Current Virginia Cosmetology License (required)
Experienced confident stylist who works well with children
Friendly patient and dependable
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to multitask between styling and management duties
Professional organized and team-oriented
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced family-focused environment
Flexibility in your availability and schedule especially weekends and after 2pm weekdays.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

We are a locally owned children and family hair salon operating within the Pigtails & Crewcuts brand in Newport News VA and Richmond VA.
