TDX Corporation is recruiting for the position of General Manager. This is a regular full-time position located on Saint Paul Island AK. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
JOB SUMMARY:
The General Manager is responsible for directing coordinating and managing all aspects of operations on St. Paul Island including oversight of St. Paul Island Tours LLC St. Paul Fuels LLC and St. Paul Wind. This role ensures operational efficiency regulatory compliance budget adherence and delivery of high-quality service to customers. The General Manager serves as the primary liaison between the company clients subcontractors and corporate leadership fostering strong communication and collaboration to support timely cost-effective and value-driven operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee day-to-day operations on St. Paul Island including tourism facilities and support services.
- Ensure compliance with all contract obligations safety regulations environmental standards and company policies.
- Monitor and manage program and project profitability through effective contract oversight.
- Review and approve budgets cost estimates staffing plans and cost control reports.
- Maintain regular communication with the CEO to proactively resolve issues.
- Collaborate with TDX corporate management to align local operations with company-wide policies and objectives.
- Address operational challenges efficiently ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Lead recruitment hiring training and performance management of local staff.
- Communicate company and departmental goals to employees foster transparency and engagement.
- Approve procurement of necessary equipment vehicles and supplies.
- Develop implement and enforce policies and procedures to improve efficiency reduce costs and enhance morale and productivity.
- Manage emergency responses and support special projects or large-scale program expansions.
- Participate in corporate strategic and business planning including data reporting and forecasting.
- Assist with development and management of local budgets and expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with all federal state and local regulations and contractual requirements.
- Maintain a safe reliable and efficient operational environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum bachelors degree in business administration Management or related field) or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in operations program administration or a similar role
- Experience in remote site or island operations is a plus
- Familiarity with government or contract-based work environments

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and management/reporting systems
- Strong technical and organizational capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High Leve of professionalism and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate independently and take on leadership roles as needed
