Our North County office is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join their Evidence Division as a part-time Court Specialist III. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional time management skills thrive in a dynamic environment and embrace the challenge of diverse responsibilities.
This exciting role is responsible for handling maintaining and processing all civil exhibits entered into evidence during a court proceeding held in North County. This includes the responsibility of maintaining the chain of custody accurate documentation secure storage regular inventory and ultimately the disposition or destruction of evidence pursuant to the Florida Statutes and Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration.
The type of evidence that will be processed in this role may include: digital /electronic evidence (emails text messages thumb drive usb cds) documentary evidence (contracts financial records).
Part-time schedule:
This position is eligible for a one dollar per hour stipend which has already been added to the salary advertised. The one dollar per hour stipend will be awarded upon completion of the introductory period.The stipend will no longer apply should the employee transfer out of this position.
*This position requires up to a month of mandatory onsite training which is conducted at the main courthouse (205 N. Dixie Hwy West Palm Beach FL 33401).
High school diploma (or GED) supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to accurately apply acute attention to detail in maintenance of detailed data preferably in an automated systems environment; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Some vocational or college courses preferred. Once qualified deputization may be required to perform the assigned functions.
Tasks may involve regular and sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing bending stooping kneeling and crouching and that generally involves lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
*This is a mandatory testing position successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen & physical examination (if applicable) is required prior to employment.
