Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Hamilton VA
Duration: 27 Weeks
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:30 AM 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $27/hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver high-quality one-on-one behavioral support to children and adolescents. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) the RBT will implement individualized treatment plans support behavior intervention strategies and promote meaningful skill development across educational and therapeutic settings.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy based on individualized treatment plans.
Implement reinforcement systems skill-building programs and behavior intervention strategies.
Support development of communication social academic adaptive and daily living skills.
Collect accurate real-time data on behaviors and skill acquisition.
Assist with behavior reduction strategies while maintaining a safe positive environment.
Collaborate with BCBAs teachers therapists and caregivers to ensure consistent support across settings.
Communicate observations progress and challenges to supervising clinicians.
Participate in team meetings training sessions and ongoing professional development.
Adhere to ethical guidelines safety standards and confidentiality protocols.
Perform other related duties as needed to support program operations.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental disabilities.
Understanding of ABA principles data collection methods and behavior management strategies.
Strong communication patience and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow structured treatment plans and adapt to changing client needs.
Physical ability to assist clients during sessions when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in school-based clinical or in-home ABA programs.
Familiarity with electronic data-tracking systems or EHR platforms.
Educational background in psychology education special education or related fields.
