KB Seafood Co is Australias largest seafood company and one of the most awarded foodservice operators. With over 300 team members and a supportive inclusive culture we supply more than 30000 tonnes of seafood each year to major supermarkets and foodservice customers.

The Role

In this hands-on role you will implement maintain review and improve the Canning Vale site WHS systems policies and procedures to ensure our health and safety objectives and legislative requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety Leadership

Support the development and roll-out of the Companywide Safety Blueprint and implement WHS programs policies procedures hazard identification tools risk assessments and controls.

Conduct workplace safety assessments close out corrective actions coordinate audits and maintain documentation to ensure statutory compliance.

Analyse training needs deliver WHS training maintain competency records and facilitate toolbox talks and safety awareness activities.

Participate in incident investigations including serious incidents perform root cause analysis develop improvement plans and liaise with HR throughout the process.

Injury Management & Workers Compensation

First point of contact for injury management; review incidents coordinate case claims work with site to identify suitable duties return-to-work plans medical clearances and general administration of claims.

Maintain compliance with legislation codes standards and the Functional Capacity Profile Library.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Maintain incident records (LTIs MTIs FAIs Near Misses) and prepare WHS reports dashboards and injury statistics.

Update the site Safety Scorecard share insights with other sites and contribute ideas to improve WHS processes and performance.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety Certificate lV or higher

Qualification in incident investigation

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role

Experience with injury management Workcover claims rehab and return to work programs.

Desired

Experience developing safety programs policies procedures & incident investigations.

High level of communication skills both verbal and written

Excellent analytical problem solving and organisational skills.
