Job Summary

Maersk Container Industry is currently seeking a Project Manager for Project Management with reference to the Sr Project Manager.

In your role you will responsible for project management at MCIQ you will be based in Qingdao and report directly to the Sr Project Manager of Maersk Container Industry located in MCIQ.

Key responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery and Coordination

Assist in the planning execution and monitoring of projects within the company project plan.

Coordinate with project managers team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones/KPIs are met.

Facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

  • Project Oversight

Maintain all projects under supervision and monitoring evaluating performance and key milestones and KPI that must be achieved

  • Process Standardization

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the PMO and recommend best practices and assist in the development and implementation of PMO policies procedures and standards.

Support the continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

  • Tools and Template Standardization

Standardize and keep updating project templates

Software utilization management

Documentation process control and governance

  • Risk Management

Identify assess and mitigate projects risks.

Monitor and report on risk management activities and escalating issues as necessary.

Develop mitigation plans and contingency strategies.

Elaborate together with project managers stakeholders and potential machinery suppliers implementation plans to eliminate or reduce the factory stop needs.

  • Resource Management

Tracking the project resource utilization and report on resource availability and constraints.

  • Training and Support

Provide training and support to project managers and team members on PMO processes tools and methodologies.

  • CAPEX management

Run and follow CAPEX Stage Gate Model for each Project >USD250k

Comply with assigned Projects regarding Scope Time and Cost

Propose new Projects that will have an impact on Production capabilities (Safety Compliance Quality Delivery Cost)

  • CAPEX control

Keep track of all Department Projects milestones and tasks using available Project Management Tools with the support of each Project Manager

Follow up Budget for each Project.

Implement and keep Department aware and trained in new project management tools.

  • Data analysis and support

Manage data and share related conclusions

We are looking for: a candidate with

  • Bachelors degree in business administration Project Management Engineering or a related field and Project Management Certificate
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a project management or PMO role preferably within a manufacturing or OEM environment.
  • Proven experience in production lines projects for capacity upgrade line modifications project management actions to reduce factory stops and new line ramp-up plan.
  • Good communication skills in English both writing and speaking Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera JIRA).
  • Software Skills: Microsoft Office Tools MS Project and other Project Management Tools world class ERP familiar with AutoCAD
  • Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. IPMA PMI) and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team management experience in production engineering
