Position Name: Director of Womens Services
Shift Details: Days
We are Johnson Countys only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Womens & Childrens healthcare services. We offer the regions only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit a labor and delivery unit and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45000 patients. Caring for patients is more than a job for us its our mission and our calling. OPRMC is part of HCA Midwest Health Kansas Citys leading healthcare provider in the region.
Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer provides nursing leadership for assessment planning implementing and evaluating patient care of assigned area(s) with twenty-four (24) hour accountability.
Collaborates with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs. Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
Supports the hospital mission in accordance with regulatory standards.
What qualifications you will need:
At least 5 years of RECENT (Within the last year) as a manager or director in a large hospital experience in Women Services. Needs experience with at least 3500 births a year in a high acuity facility.
Education: BSN is Required
Licensure/Certifications: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license in accordance with law and regulation.
Certification in area of specialty preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication interpersonal organizational and leadership skills required.
Ability to achieve and then maintain BCLS certification is required.
