Role: Human Resource Compliance Manager
Location: Chicago IL USA (Onsite)
Duration: 6 month C2H
Job Description:
The HR Compliance Manager is responsible for leading and managing all regulatory and compliance processes within Human Resources. This includes ensuring adherence to HR regulatory requirements and offering expert consultation on compliance-related matters. The role involves preparing and leading the HR response to regulatory visits.
Responsibilities:
Proactively create maintain and update all Human Resources policies and processes.
Develop monitor and audit all regulatory legal and organizational compliance requirements.
Act as a subject matter expert on HR-related compliance matters and provide consultative support.
Lead and manage HRs role in audit and accreditation initiatives and regulatory visits.
Ensure system compliance with employee licensure and certification requirements.
Develop and lead communication and training on HR policies.
Conduct HR compliance audits and implement process improvements.
Partner with Procurement and Legal to review HR vendor agreements.
Stay current on regulatory issues through seminars and training.
Coordinate with the Office of Legal Affairs and HR COEs for alignment with standards.
Assist with OFCCP compliance initiatives.
Partner with Digital & Information Services for HR data privacy and compliance.
Develop process maps and governance documents for operational consistency.
Mandatory Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Business Administration Legal Studies or related field.
7 10 years of experience in HR policy development compliance or regulatory affairs.
Strong working knowledge of employment laws labor standards and compliance frameworks.
Experience in policy authorship legal research and regulatory interpretation.
Excellent writing communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage complex projects in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience managing digital policy systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Juris Doctor (JD) or advanced degree in a related field.
Experience with PolicyTech.
Experience managing compliance in a hospital system.
