Manages the day-to-day activities related to the decontamination processing sterilization and distribution of equipment and sterile supplies. Develops a quality improvement plan work process standards and performance goals to ensure optimal service delivery and patient care. Responsible for staffing training performance management compliance and fiscal management of departmental assets. Demonstrates an attitude consistent with the hospitals mission vision and values.
Schedule: Monday - Friday mainly 8:00am - 4:30pm may vary for departmental needs
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:
- 3 years of sterile processing experience
- 2 years of sterile processing leadership experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of all regulatory guidelines and standards of practice as it relates to AAMI AORN Joint Commission and OSHA
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Certified Registered Central Services Tech or or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
