JOB DUTIES:
Maintenance Repair and General Labor Work:Performs minor repairs including basic carpentry; Assists with basic trades duties; Inspects and provides basic maintenance to cleaning equipment; Assists with snow and ice removal
Responds to general labor work order assignments
Completes regular and post-event custodial duties and maintenance for the Rady Family Sports Complex
Completes custodial duties and building maintenance for University Center on Saturdays
Assists with facilities and operations projects for special events (such as event set-up and take-down moving chairs and tables relocating waste and recycle containers and trash pick-up).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience and skill using Microsoft computer programs
Strong communication skills
Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines
Prior occupational experience with trades and/or custodial work
Prior occupational experience using electronic work order systems

Per the requirements of the Step Pay Program implemented on July 1 2024 any State employee must be paid a rate that is equal to or greater than the appropriate step pay rate within their classifications pay range based on completed years in their current class series as of June 30. This position is designated as essential services (meaning it performs services directly necessary for the health safety and welfare of Western Colorado University facility users).
