Job Summary

This is a remote position.

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Engineer to manage support and optimize on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Windows Server Active Directory/Entra ID virtualization platforms and modern endpoint management. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills strong communication abilities and experience working directly with both technical and non-technical users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Microsoft & Azure Administration
Manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines VNets Storage Accounts Resource Groups Automation Accounts and Runbooks.
Administer Microsoft Entra ID including user lifecycle management security configurations and AD/Entra ID synchronization.
Oversee Microsoft Intune for device management compliance policies and application deployment.
Support and administer Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint Exchange Online and OneDrive.
Migrate data and workloads from on-premises environments to Azure and SharePoint.
Windows Server & On-Prem Infrastructure
Install harden and maintain Windows Server environments based on organizational standards.
Manage Active Directory objects organizational units group policies DNS and DHCP.
Perform file server permissions management and access control.
Execute backup and restore operations (Axcient or similar platforms).
Prepare and apply OS updates patches and security configurations.
Virtualization & Storage
Configure and manage Hyper-V clusters Nutanix environments and VMware hosts.
Perform daily health checks VM provisioning datastore management and ESXi updates.
Technical Support & Operations
Troubleshoot server network and application issues across on-prem and cloud environments.
Provide remote support to users and leadership ensuring high-quality customer service.
Document configuration standards processes and knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with internal teams to support infrastructure projects migrations and upgrades.

QUALIFICATIONS

5 years of IT support experience with at least 2 years in a Level 3 or senior support role in an MSP environment.
Strong understanding of Azure administration resource deployment and cloud migration.
Expertise in Windows Server OS AD/Entra ID DNS DHCP and Group Policies.
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V Nutanix VMware).
Knowledge of backup systems server recovery and data migration.
Ability to interact professionally with end users stakeholders and technical teams.
Excellent troubleshooting communication and documentation skills.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
