We are currently recruiting a Staff Nurse Endoscopy Department for a hospital located in Cork Ireland.
Nurses will be required to work days nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to assigned hospital patients.
Ensure patients attending the Endoscopy Unit receive high-quality nursing care in line with established protocols and guidelines.
Implement medical orders for assigned patients administering medications and treatments safely and appropriately.
Promptly report any changes in a patients condition to the relevant medical and nursing staff.
Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided taking into account the patients response to interventions.
Accurately document nursing care using the hospitals Meditech system and maintain all assigned patient records.
Requirements
- Possess a PIN and be fully registered on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Irelands general division of the register of nurses.
- One year of acute hospital setting experience following registration.
- Ensure patients attending the Endoscopy Unit receive high-quality care in line with established protocols and guidelines.
- A nursing strategy that is patient-centered.
- Reputable clinical and professional competence
- Proficiency in the English language is mandatory for the position.
- The capacity to function well in a multidisciplinary team
