We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse - Paediatrics for a leading Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate excellent communication and clinical judgement to support safe effective referrals from GPs and multidisciplinary team members to the Paediatric Ambulatory Service.
Competently assess and triage children prior to consultant review including physical assessments vital signs urinalysis and required investigations.
Support GPs in ensuring appropriate and timely referrals through effective clinical triage and advice.
Coordinate and manage workloads prioritising care delivery to meet the clinical and family needs of patients.
Deputise for the Clinical Coordinator when required and act as a clinical resource for staff patients and families.
Deliver high-quality patient care in line with NMBI standards hospital policies and evidence-based best practices.
Contribute to quality improvement audit processes accreditation activities and health promotion initiatives within the service.
Ensure accurate documentation effective follow-up arrangements and clear communication with parents/guardians and allied health professionals.
Demonstrate leadership through education supervision preceptorship of staff/students and participation in performance reviews.
Maintain professional standards effective time management collaborative working relationships and adaptability within a dynamic clinical environment.
Requirements
NMBI registration in Childrens Nursing or relevant paediatric nursing experience
OR NMBI dual registration in General and Childrens Nursing
Current PALS certification or willingness to complete within 12 months
Previous paediatric nursing experience desirable
Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong time management and organisational skills
Proficient computer and IT skills
