We are currently hiring Staff Nurses to join the Medical/Surgical Ward of a reputed hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
Deliver safe effective and evidence-based nursing care to medical and surgical patients
Practice in accordance with NMBI standards hospital policies and relevant legislation
Complete comprehensive nursing assessments care plans and evaluations
Monitor assess and document patients clinical conditions escalating concerns appropriately
Administer medications safely in accordance with medication management policies
Maintain accurate timely and confidential clinical documentation
Communicate effectively with patients families and the multidisciplinary team
Participate in patient discharge planning and continuity of care
Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies and deteriorating patients
Promote and maintain infection prevention and control standards
Support quality improvement initiatives audits and hospital accreditation processes
Assist with mentoring and supporting student nurses and new staff
Work collaboratively within the ward team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff when required
Requirements
Be a Registered General Nurse with current registration on the NMBI live register
Have a minimum of 12 months post-registration experience in a medical and/or surgical ward (desirable)
Demonstrate strong clinical competence in acute care nursing
Have experience working within a multidisciplinary hospital environment
Possess excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Have good IT skills for clinical systems and documentation (desirable)
Hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory)
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development
