Position Overview
We are seeking a bilingual Loan Officer to support commercial loan origination underwriting and client relationship management. The ideal candidate has experience in lending or credit analysis and can provide excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Interview customers and assess loan requests for commercial lending.
- Perform preliminary underwriting and prepare credit memos for new and existing loans.
- Ensure compliance with bank lending policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate required documents appraisals and closing activities with internal teams and external attorneys.
- Conduct annual reviews site visits and ongoing credit monitoring.
- Maintain accurate credit and collateral files.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the loan process.
- Support general banking credit administration and branch-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required (Finance Business Economics preferred)
- 2 years of experience in loan processing underwriting or credit analysis preferred
- (Entry-level candidates may be considered)
- Bilingual in Korean and English required
- Strong understanding of lending practices financial statements and credit evaluation
- Excellent communication customer service and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with loan systems preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No sponsorship available)
