Job Summary
Horticultural Estimator
Dandenong (VIC) or Ormeau (QLD)

Green by Nature is growing and were looking for an experienced Horticultural Estimator to join our this role youll oversee the full estimating process from initial bid preparation through to final submission across maintenance and service-based contracts in the landscape and horticulture sectors.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse pipeline of commercial and government projects while contributing to the continued success and expansion of our business.
What Youll Be Doing
- Preparing accurate cost estimates for horticultural and landscape maintenance contracts
- Completing quantity take-offs and analysing specifications to determine labour materials and time requirements
- Working closely with Operations Managers and our bid services team to produce high-quality estimate documentation
- Reviewing subcontractor pricing and negotiating competitive rates
- Staying informed on industry trends market pricing and maintenance operations
- Presenting bids for internal approval and participating in review meetings
- Coordinating multiple stakeholders throughout the bid process
- Tracking bid outcomes and identifying improvement opportunities
What Youll Bring
- 5 years estimating experience ideally in horticulture landscape maintenance or facilities management
- Proven background preparing commercial or government tenders
- Strong technical understanding of horticultural and landscape maintenance operations
- In-depth knowledge of estimating methods pricing structures and data analysis
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and tendering/estimating software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Tertiary qualification in Horticulture Landscape Construction Business or a related field (desirable)
