Job Summary
Estimator
Are you an experienced estimator looking for your next challenge in the building sector Join a business providing building and construction services across Adelaide and regional South Australia.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial construction projects
Review drawings specifications and scopes to identify risks and opportunities
Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing using current market rates and supplier quotes
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
Assist with value engineering and cost planning during tender and pre-construction phases
Work closely with project managers to hand over successful tenders
Maintain up-to-date cost databases and tender documentation
Support variations cost reporting and post-tender reviews as required
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management Quantity Surveying or relavent industry experience
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desired Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimation
