As Chief Engineer Data Platforms you will define the technical vision mentor high-performing teams and deliver solutions that make a real impact and play a pivotal role in enabling the vision of AI-first mindset amongst engineers.
What you will bring (skills & capabilities)
Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Define and evolve enterprise data engineering roadmaps across Azure Snowflake Databricks Informatica and Teradata.
- Champion modern data stack tools (DBT Airflow Kafka Delta Lake) and DevSecOps automation.
- Establish reference architectures reusable blueprints and best practices for ingestion transformation storage and consumption layers.
- Ensure architectural integrity across domains batch streaming real-time and ML/AI workloads.
Engineering Excellence
- Embed quality reliability performance observability and cost efficiency.
- Drive coding standards CI/CD templates and data quality frameworks.
Delivery Leadership
- Guide engineering squads building pipelines data products feature stores Machine Learning and AI workloads.
- Translate business needs into scalable designs and enforce reusable automated patterns.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate complex technical concepts in clear business-friendly language.
- Build trusted relationships across senior leadership and delivery teams.
Talent Development
- Mentor engineers and tech leads foster craftsmanship and continuous learning.
- Lead communities of practice hackathons and innovation challenges.
Risk & Governance
- Ensure data engineering practices align with internal risk frameworks (Data Governance InfoSec BC/DR).
- Maintain a high standard of data protection access control and ethical AI data use.
